MAYA NA BASENIE / MAYA IN THE POOL
Jakoś do tej pory nie mieliśmy okazji zabrać Mayę na basen, bo głównie nie było kiedy albo specjalnie na basen chodzić i płacić to nam się nie chciało.
Nasze mieszkanie w Malezji jest na osiedlu z basenem więc wykorzystujemy ten fakt maksymalnie i prawie codziennie zabieramy ją na pluskanie się w wodzie (ja w tygodniu, Piotrek w weekendy).
Na osiedlu baseny są dwa, jeden mniejszy o głębokości około 80 cm, i drugi o głębokości około 1.40m. Z Mayą przesiadujemy na zmianę raz w jednym raz w drugim. W tym głębszym jest wygodniej bo mozna stać i woda jest mniej więcej do ramion więc można swobodnie Mayką manewrować. W tym płytszym trzeba się schylać. Na początku wsadziliśmy Maykę do kółka które znaleźliśmy w Korei na Jeju, ale okazało się sporo za duże więc kupiliśmy jej mniejsze, i to spisuje się idealnie. Do tego kupiliśmy też rękawki nadmuchiwane ale jeszcze nie testowaliśmy, deskę do pływania ale chyba bardziej mi pasuje niż Mayce, i takie kółko z majtkami w którym może siedzieć i nie przeleci przez nie ani dołem ani górą, tyle że jakoś specjalnie jej nie odpowiada bo nie może chlapać. W zwykłym kółku ma najwięcej swobody i największą radochę :)
We haven’t had a chance to take Maya to the swimming pool before, mainly because there was no right time for it or we didn’t feel like paying and going to the indoor pool.
Our apartment in Malaysia is in a condo with the swimming pool so we use this convenience as much as we can, taking Maya almost every day for a splash around (me during the week, Piotr at the weekends).
There are 2 swimming pools, one smaller around 80 cm deep, and the other around 1.4m deep. We mainly sit in the shallower one, but usually switch between the two. It is easier to take her to the deeper one, as the water is about shoulder height so it is more convenient and you don’t have to bend, like in the shallow one. At the beginning we wanted to put Maya in the swimming ring we found in Korea, in Jeju, but it turned out too big. We bought her a smaller one, perfect for her size, and it does the job well. Plus we also got her the arm bands but haven’t tested those yet, a swimming board but I think it is more for me than her and another gadget swim seat, with ‘pants’ so she is not able to escape downwards or even upwards. She doesn’t like it very much because she cannot do any splashing in it. In a simple swimming ring she has more freedom and more fun :)
Jak chodzimy wszyscy w trójkę na basen to Piotrek głównie pływa z Mayą, topiąc ją przy tym od czasu do czasu. Z tego co widzimy to po zanurzeniu dosłownie na moment, odruchowo nabiera powietrza i trzyma pod wodą, bo nie widzimy żeby jakieś bąbelki wypuszczała. I co ważne, nie płacze po wynurzeniu, trochę pokaszle i dalej szaleje ;)
When we go to the pool together, Piotr is usually engaged in teaching Maya to swim, or more to get her used to the water, sometimes taking her underwater for a moment. What we noticed is that she instinctively breaths in and doesn’t let the air out under water. What is important, once she comes up, she chokes a bit and coughs up but doesn’t cry and she continues her splashing :)
Czasami Maya ma dość pluskania wtedy wychodzi na brzeg i bada teren, na przykład zbiera liście i inne śmieci, które w większości przypadków lądują w buzi.
Sometimes Maya has enough of splashing in the water so she climbs out of the pool and checks out whatever is around, for example picking up leaves or other rubbish that usually end up in her mouth.
Maya ma niezłą praktykę i oswajanie się z wodą a my przy okazji też czujemy się jak na wakacjach :)
Maya has got a great practice and familiarisation with water and for us we feel as if we were on a proper holiday :)
