Przy wyspie Samui nie ma nurkowych spotów jako tako. Wszystko znajduje się na północ, przy wyspie Koh Tao i na terenie Angthong Marine Park. Dotarcie do tych miejsc zamowało około godziny łodzią motorową. W resorcie znajdowało się centrum nurkowe The Dive Academy. Piotrek zdecydował pojechać sam jednego dnia, zobaczyć jak jest, a po powrocie stwierdził, że po pierwsze to za daleko tak codziennie jeździć (godzina w jedną, godzina w drugą, a czasem nawet ponad godzinę w zależności od miejsca), a po drugie nie było tam nic tak zachwycającego czego by już nie widział. Tym bardziej jak już się nurkowało w takim miejscu jak Malediwy czy Sipadan.
Ja się nie zdecydowałam na nurkowanie bo Maya trochę za mała i wyrwać się tak na prawie cały dzień to trochę męczące i dla mnie i dla niej (dla Piotrka pewnie też bo musiałby się nią zajmować ;) a płynąć tak daleko z Mayką nie wchodziło w grę. Piotrek zaliczył dwa nury i na tym się skończyło ale zupełnie nie żałował. Przynajmniej ma zaliczone nurkowanie w Tajlandii.
Koh Samui as such doesn’t have any diving spots. All diving is situated north ot Koh samui, by Koh Tao island and around Angthong Marine Park. Getting there usually takes about an hour by speedboat. We had a dive centre by the resort - The Dive Academy. Piotr decided to go for one dive trip and see how it goes. When he came back he decided that first it is a bit too far to go every day (1-1.5h one way) and second of all there was not too much too see, nothing he hadn’t seen before, nothing exciting. Especially after having visited Sipadan and Maldives, he wasn’t too impressed.
I decided not to go diving for the above reasons, as well as with Maya too little to leave for a whole day, it would be too tiring for me and for her. Piotr did two dives during this one trip and he had enough. But he wasn’t sorry, at least he saw what this part of underwater Thailand has to offer.
